Psalm 119:105:

"Your word is a lamp
to my feet and a
light for my path."

When you walk through the woods
on a dark evening
carrying a lantern or flashlight,
the illumination is
merely enough for taking the next step.

only after you take that step,
do you have light
for the step beyond.
but that is all you need.
